Although not covered in the ASHI standards of practice, TRC Home Inspectors are trained to recognize any deficiency in the landscape and its irrigation. The water to plant ratio can be confusing and varies dependent on climate , There are numerous factors involved like grading, or slope of the property and how water is retained or drained off in waste and the types of vegetation and climate all play a part in proper irrigation.

Water waste is a common expense most home owners overlook and could be mitigated with a proper inspection.
